In August of 2006, we traveled to Costa Rica, the “rich coast”, for an exploratory mission trip.  We met missionaries Charlie and Angela Strong, participated in their work, visited an orphanage and special needs schools, and saw first-hand the great poverty of many Costa Ricans, or "Ticos" as they call themselves. Their shacks and dirt roads are hidden far from highways, tourist traps and resorts that promote the “out of sight, out of mind” philosophy.  But we will not forget those who are pushed aside – those who feel hopeless.

We continue to support Strong Missions and the "Ticos" with the creation of an annual event named “Project Trinity.” to the congregation and raised $8,000 in one month’s time – all to build a safe home for a little lady named Trinity. We plan to make Project Trinity an annual event for the purpose of building at least one house in Costa Rica per year.
